  • INTRODUCTION Micro & Nano Devices Lab.
  • About MNDL logo MNDL is one of the semiconductor devices laboratories in the Department of Information Display. What makes it stand out from the others is its interdisciplinary research, which is based on a strong thin-film transistor (TFT) foundation. As such, the laboratory welcomes students from most scientific backgrounds, including physics for device physics, chemistry and material science for thin film engineering, electronics and electrical engineering for TFT circuit designs and simulations, as well as computer science and computer engineering for device simulations and characterization. Although the main application of the micro and nano devices made in MNDL are displays, the lab is also actively involved in the development of X-ray sources and detectors for security and medical imaging. Click here for more details. For display applications, active research topics include amorphous-indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) TFTs, perovskite (TFTs), organic TFTs, low-temperature poly-Si (LTPS) TFTs, LTPO (a-IGZO + LTPS) TFT circuits, as well as diodes for temperature, light, and gas and touch sensing applications. MNDL welcomes all students seeking a hands-on internship, masters, Ph. D., or postdoc position in any of the above-mentioned topics and beyond. Click here to upload your CV. MNDL is also open for research collaborations and lab tours. As it is in the Seoul campus of Kyung Hee University that is located less than 30 mins from downtown and only 90 mins from Incheon international airport (click here for directions), MNDL provides a good school-life balance for students and is very easy to visit. Surrounding the campus are easily accessible recreational facilities as well as affordable housing and around-the-clock safe transportation.
